Here is an update on what’s happening with me and the newsletter.

Last fall my friends at Advancing Native Missions asked me to become editor of their start-up magazine, Advancing Native Missions. They want me to “tell the story” (or stories) of native missions—their leaders, their workers, their feats, their struggles, their passion, their vision. That was what I wanted to do when I started World Christian Ministries! So the dream is coming true, at least in a small way.

Getting a magazine started is a little like pushing a truck—with the motor turned off. Everything has to start from scratch. Nobody is prepared for the discipline and order that producing a magazine requires. But they are all very eager, and at least the motor is now turned on and running. I am learning how to work within the context of this organization, and they are delighted to have me.

So it has taken much more of my time than I had figured to get the first issue ready. It is now ready to be sent to design and we are already planning the second issue. The train has pulled out of the station. If you would like to be placed on the mailing list to receive the first issue (in U.S. only), please send me your complete name and mailing address, and I will see that you get it.

So now I am able to turn again to the newsletter. I have several back issues partly ready, so I hope to publish more regularly in the weeks to come.
