About World Christian Ministries

World Christian Ministries was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia on September 16, 2004. On May 17, 2005 it was granted official non-profit status by the Internal Revenue Service, retroactive to its beginning. So all donations to World Christian Ministries are tax-deductible for income tax purposes. It operates under By-Laws and is governed by a Board of Directors.

World Christian Ministries Officers and Directors
The WCM Board of Directors and Advisory Council are composed of persons of high caliber missions and publishing experience. The Board of Directors oversees the business end of the organization and guides the direction of the ministry.

John Lindner, President and Chairman, of Charlottesville, VA – Mission magazine editor with Christian Aid for 24 years, prior to that pastor for 17 years, author of two books and numerous magazine and newspaper articles. John & Jo Ann have been married 45 years and are the parents of four grown children. Son John has provided graphic design work for WCM.

Bill Dolack, Vice President and Vice Chairman, of Waynesboro, VA – General Manager, Christian Heritage Center, Fishersville, VA, with prior experience in photography and newspaper publishing. Bill has authored two Christian novels, Tales of Winshaew: Dominion of Darkness and Destiny: The Asbury Chronicles, and a newly released non-fiction, Forgotten Foot-Soldiers on the Frontier of Independence. Jo Ann Lindner, Secretary and Treasurer, of Charlottesville, VA – Sponsorship Director with Christian Aid and involvement with indigenous missions for over 25 years, and before that, pastor’s wife for 17 years.

Ron George, Director, of Crowborough, East Sussex, England – Founder and President of World In Need (1991), based in the U.K. With more than 40 years involvement in missions, he has authored two books, The Spiritual Challenge of Modern Turkey and Issues and Insights into Church Planting in the Muslim World. He also continues to monitor a movement 100 years in the making of Muslims coming to faith in Christ through the study of the Bible while still staying within the Islamic culture. Gordon Hall, Director, of Afton, VA – Chairman of the Board of a multinational business, Gordon also was Managing Director-Senior Advisor for a major investment banker firm in Boston until he retired in 2002. Since his retirement he has served as director of Reino de Dios (Mexico), a member of the Mars Hill Productions Advisory Board, and the College of Biblical Studies President’s Cabinet. He makes regular trips to the Dominican Republic with his wife and four children where they assist Ministerio Emanuel with development and operation of its schools and other projects, and was resident assistant at the Instituto de Juan Gutenberg in Atotonilco, Mexico, for the fall semester, 2003.

 

Meet the Advisory Council
The Advisory Council members review editorial content and make suggestions concerning the editorial direction of the ministry.

Dr. Jonathan Bonk – Executive Director, Overseas Ministries Study Center, New Haven, CT., Editor, International Bulletin of Missionary Research; Project Director, Dictionary of African Christian Biography; and author of numerous articles and several books on missions, including Between Past and Future: Evangelical Mission Entering The Twenty-First Century (Wm. Carey Library, 2003), Missions and Money: Affluence as a Western Missionary Problem (Orbis, 1991), The World at War, the Church at Peace: A Biblical Perspective (Kindred Press, 1988), and Annotated and Classified Bibliography of English Literature Pertaining to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church (Atla Bibliography Series 1984).

Chuck Bennett – Former President and CEO, Partners International (1986-1999), Executive Vice President and COO of Food for the Hungry International (1985-1991), Founder and Board Chair of AirServ International (1984-1986 and 1989-1995), and President and CEO of Mission Aviation Fellowship (1973-1985), and before that President and Founding Executive Director of the Presbyterian Center for Mission Studies (1972-1973).


Ron Wilson – Former Executive Director of the Evangelical Press Association (1992-2002), Ron began his journalism career as an editor at what was then called Moody Monthly magazine. In 1962 he became the editor of Youth for Christ magazine (now called Campus Life). He also served in Latin America and Europe for Youth for Christ helping to start youth magazines for national YFC programs. In 1970 he became the public relations director for David C. Cook Publishing Co. and served as trade book acquisitions editor from 1974-1978. From 1978, Ron had contracts to write and consult with World Vision, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and with Overseas Missionary Fellowship, and serving as Media Associates International senior editor and trainer, 1991-1992. He and his wife currently serve as missionaries in the Republic of Ireland. He is author of six books, including the 20-page booklet, Editorial Vision and Strategy: How to Write a Mission Statement and Make it Work, and his most recent, Call Waiting (Broadman Holman).
John Lindner Jr. is not only the son of the director but a young man who has proven good business sense and design insight. At age 30 he was chosen to be Vice President, Creative Art Director, at a nationally known direct response agency. A 1992 BFA graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, John has more than 15 years’ design experience with catalogs, magazines, direct marketing and advertising campaigns for businesses and corporations, while showing sensitivity and spiritual insight to Christian organizations’ goals and manner of operation. He was responsible for the design of Christian Mission magazine 1992-1995, Hopegivers magazine 2004 to 2006, and a prototype of the proposed new World Christian magazine. He began 93 Octane (www.93-octane.com) in 1992, and is still co-owner in the enlarged design and marketing company.

Werner MischkeWerner Mischke is Executive Vice President for Mission ONE, Scottsdale, AZ. He is co-developer of Operation WorldView, a video program summarizing the Biblical world view and missions, and is chairman, COSIM Steering Committee (Coalition On Support of Indigenous Ministries).
