Dear Missions Friend,

For 24 years I published Christian Mission magazine for Christian Aid. Meeting leaders of third-world missions and hearing their stories thrilled my heart.

I perceived that learning how they overcame obstacles, endured persecution, experienced answered prayer, and won corners of their world for Christ would bring fresh enthusiasm for missions among churches and individuals—and might even spark revival through renewed faith and revitalize prayer life.

So I "retired" from Christian Aid in January 2004 with the dream of publishing a new magazine that would focus on indigenous missions and could be sent to a wider audience—not just the supporters of a single mission.

World In Need, the most recent publisher of World Christian magazine, gave me the privilege of using that title with a new focus. I felt the new WC magazine would be inclusive of all qualified third-world ministries and American agencies that assist, support, or partner with them.

It’s an exciting venture and a tremendous challenge—so fit for the challenges of the 21st Century. It will take a miracle of God to pull it off, and for that we covet your prayers.
