World Christian Ministries was founded for the expressed purpose of restarting a revised World Christian magazine, with the focus on indigenous missions. When that became financially impossible, we decided to inform people about the work of indigenous missions through a free e-mail newsletter. Some of the most recent articles are listed on the right.

The work continued to grow and eventually began reaching those in neighboring and other countries and adopted the name, Global Evangelical Fellowship. In 1982 Vargis spent eight weeks ministering among primitive tribal people in Orissa State, the same state that saw such awful violence last year. The suffering Christians face under the North Korean demigods Kim Il Sung and now his son, Kim Jong Il, is unbelievable in its cruelty.
