World Christian Ministries is an e-mail newsletter ministry. We send free e-mail newsletters to anyone who subscribes. These emphasize the struggle, passion and achievements of indigenous missionary leaders. We do that to stir up interest in--and support for--indigenous ministries in the Two-Thirds or Majority World (also called the Global South), although we do not aid or fund indigenous ministries directly. We also hope to be a forum for 21st century missions. Think of us as a paperless newspaper with a purpose. Some of our most recent articles are listed on the right.

Jailed Hindu terrorist Ram Prasad Mainali has repented of bombing a Catholic Church in Nepal last May, and now says he has embraced Christ as Savior and Lord of his life. He said none of his radical Hindu friends came to him in prison, but the kindness of Christians there led him to Christ. [Read more in this story written by Vishal Arora for Compass Direct News.]
The People's Republic of China seems very proud of its accomplishments in the last couple of years, but their human rights record remains abysmal. They hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics and in October celebrated 60 years of Communist rule, but they continue to imprison Christian pastors, close down churches and in some instances physically destroy their properties, and apparently abducted and imprisoned civil rights attorney Gao Zhisheng. An estimated 200 million Christians on the African continent do not have Bibles. Bibles for Believers is attempting to supply 225,000 Bibles to help meet the need in their areas of ministry, and has distributed 75,000 Bibles over the last 15 months. Recently, a team distributed 8,300 Bibles to nearly 200 churches in Malawi and Zimbabwe in one week.
